by crd 3. October 2012 09:53

Please join us on Friday, October 12, to meet 4th year veterinary student Katrina Hartman, featured artist, to view her collection of photographs now on display in the Animal Health Library. Her photos reflect her love of photography and going “off trail.” Each picture has a story, whether an escape from a hard test week, a drive home, a quick break from driving the combine on the family farm in rural Montana. This exhibit is the 6th in AHL’s Art in the Library series. For more information about Katrina and the current exhibit, go to:

WSU Webinar on Local Anesthesia Aug 21 2012

by crd 16. August 2012 07:59

Regional and Intravenous use of Local Anesthetics : CE for Veterinary Technicians

This is part 2 of a topic that was first presented on June 27, 2012.

In our last session we learned that local anesthetic drugs are extremely effective, inexpensive and easy to use and we discussed some of the most commonly used local anesthetic blocks. In this session we will continue to explore the use of local blocks and will expand into regional blocks like epidurals and brachial plexus blocks. We will also discuss the use of other drugs in local and regional blocks and discuss the use of lidocaine intravenously. This webinar will be presented by a veterinarian and a veterinary technician who will describe and demonstrate some of the more commonly used blocks in small animal practice. The goal is to increase the comfort level of both veterinarians and veterinary technicians with the use of local anesthetic blockade.

One hour, one CE Credit: $25 (plus additional open hour for your questions submitted by text chat)
