I'm frequently asked this question these days. Several of our colleagues did so when I attended the WSVMA Executive Board meeting on Thursday.
As you would expect he's fully engaged in his new duties as Provost (an aside -- this means he's still my boss). He feels like he's drinking from a fire hose as he adapts to the demands and scope of the position. And these are considerable, with responsibilities ranging across the breadth of the academic programs at WSU. But, I think he's bouyed and gratified that he is working well with a good group of deans.
One thing I can tell you is that, even though he is fully looking forward, he misses the day-to-day interactions with his colleagues in the CVM. Also, he really misses his interactions with the community of veterinarians that was the focus of his career until September. If you want to give him a "good on ya'" now and then, please drop him an email (or comment here and I'll make sure he sees it).
