Regional and Intravenous use of Local Anesthetics : CE for Veterinary Technicians
This is part 2 of a topic that was first presented on June 27, 2012.
In our last session we learned that local anesthetic drugs are extremely effective, inexpensive and easy to use and we discussed some of the most commonly used local anesthetic blocks. In this session we will continue to explore the use of local blocks and will expand into regional blocks like epidurals and brachial plexus blocks. We will also discuss the use of other drugs in local and regional blocks and discuss the use of lidocaine intravenously. This webinar will be presented by a veterinarian and a veterinary technician who will describe and demonstrate some of the more commonly used blocks in small animal practice. The goal is to increase the comfort level of both veterinarians and veterinary technicians with the use of local anesthetic blockade.
