$421,000 in scholarships!!

by Abbie 21. April 2009 03:08

This past Friday the CVM celebrated its annual scholarship dessert and awards program.  The WSU College of Veterinary Medicine awarded $421,000 in scholarships to 225 students.  The scholarships were awarded in areas ranging from: academic performance and leadership, interest area, location the student is from, various memorial scholarships, research, senior proficiency and incoming student awards.  A highlight for many of the students was the fact that many of the scholarship donors (or representatives) were on hand to meet and thank personally.  One student mentioned that, "it made receiving my scholarship more prestigious because now I've met the person who cares about helping me become a vet."
