Hi, my name is Dani and I am a third year vet student at Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. I also went to WSU for undergrad, and I received my Bachelor's in Zoology, with a pre-vet emphasis. I decided to go to vet school when I began working at a veterinary clinic part-time just after high school. During that job I realized I loved to work with animals and people and I wanted to do it for my profession. I chose WSU CVM because it is an awesome school that really emphasizes the students and their individual success.
School keeps me busy and working hard, but I love my colleagues, classes, and all of my professors!! In my spare time I enjoy playing with my two cats, Caleo and Tux, as well as my cockatiel, Grace. I am also a huge Cougar fan and all Cougar sporting events are a great time for me, as well as getting to the gym for a little exercise to keep me sane. Once I graduate my plan is to apply for an internship in small animal medicine and continue to a residency to obtain a board certification in a yet to be determined area. I am so excited about my choice to become a Cougar Veterinarian because I know my future will be bright!!
